Harry Potter novels have taken the world of fantasy to another level. From the plot, to the spells, JK Rowling has done a deep research in presenting the novel. Having readers over all age categories, Harry Potter is one of the Top 10 best-selling novels of all time. If you haven't yet read the books, PLEASE DO READ THEM! They are worth the time. The movies are no less, but movies can't give the pleasure and details a book gives. If you are a potter-head, let us see if you noticed these Easter eggs in the books.

1.Grindelwald makes his appearance way before in this series
In Sorcerer's Stone, the chocolate frog which jumps out of the Hogwarts train can't be forgotten. The packaging in which it comes is about Albus Dumbledore. It says that Dumbledore defeated Grindelwald in 1945. Rowling has introduced this villain way earlier than we ever thought.
2.Ron guessed Moaning Myrtle's killer
In The Chamber of Secrets, Ron and Harry wonder why Tom Riddle received a special award. They have no clue that Riddle is Voldemort. Ron jokingly says Riddle must have killed Myrtle, which might be why he received an award. But little did he know that Voldemort was the one who killed Myrtle through his basilisk. Ron is sometimes correct, better not miss it ;)
3.Trelawney predicting Sirius' death
Sybil Trelawney's drama vibes may have overshadowed her skills, but she has left an important message which might have been missed while we read. In The Prisoner of Azkaban, when the teachers dine together, she says, "I dare not, Headmaster! If I join the table, we shall be thirteen! Nothing could be more unlucky! Never forget that when thirteen dine together, the first to rise will be the first to die!" In The Order of the Phoenix, Sirius was the first to rise from the table of 13 and we know what happened.
4.Why did Rowling name Lupin, "Lupin"?
We know Remus Lupin is a werewolf. We get to know this in the end of The Prisoner of Azkaban. But Rowling has left a hint earlier in the book. We know Rome was founded by Romulus and Remus, who were raised by a Wolf. In Latin, Lupus means Wolf, Lupinus means Wolfish.
5.Trewlawney again...predicting Harry being a Horcrux
It is fine if the students didn't understand Trelawney. But in The Goblet of Fire, she is confused by herself. Harry is frustrated about Trelawney not even being able to predict his birthday. She says its "midwinter". We all know Harry was born in Summer (July). But Voldemort was born in "midwinter". Harry being one of the Horcruxes of Voldemort, holds his nemesis inside of him, which we get to know in The Deathly Hollows. But Rowling has left such an easter egg way before in the series with Trelawney's predictions.
6.Finding Horcrux in The Order of the Phoenix
The Order of the Phoenix has an interesting reference to horcrux. In 12, Grimmauld Place, the trio finds Salazar Slytherin's locket, which was not considered an important object in that moment. They tried opening it, but they couldn't. But it would be in The Deathly Hollows that they realise why they couldn't open it, since it is one of Voldemort's Horcruxes.
7. The complete circle
In Sorcerer's Stone, Hagrid brings Harry in Sirius' motorcycle to 4, Privet Drive after James and Lily were killed. In The Deathly Hollows, Hagrid drives back Harry from 4, Privet Drive in the same motorcycle. This is really heart-warming and creates a complete circle.
I could not find any Easter egg moment in The Half Blood Prince. Please comment if you find any! I will soon be posting Easter eggs from Harry Potter movies!! [Update: Here it is!]. I myself didn't notice until now that the article contains "7" Easter eggs. "7" is a very special number in the Potter world 😉. Comment below if you found any such Easter egg moments in the books!!
