I posted a blog on the Easter Egg moments from the Harry Potter books. Harry Potter movies also have a lot of moments which went by unnoticed. Here I have listed such moments from the movies which many people might have missed, while watching the main plot. These Easter eggs contribute to the immersive experience of the Harry Potter movies, offering potter-heads hidden details and references to discover and enjoy.

1.The Hogwarts House Points Hourglasses in "The Sorcerer's Stone"
There's a scene in "ThevSorcerer's Stone" where Dumbledore awards points to Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, and Slytherin for various reasons. As he adds and deducts points, you can see the hourglasses representing each house filling up or emptying accordingly in the background, showcasing the dynamic nature of the house point system.
2. The Deathly Hallows Symbol in "The Prisoner of Azkaban"
When Professor Lupin teaches the students about boggarts, the symbol of the Deathly Hallows can be seen briefly on the chalkboard behind him. This subtle nod hints at the significance of the Deathly Hallows in the later books and movies.
3. A fun reference in "The Prisoner of Azkaban"
When Harry visits the Leaky Cauldron, you can see a portrait of a witch reading "A Brief History of Time" by Stephen Hawking. This is a humorous nod to real-world literature and adds depth to the concept of "Time", since Harry and Hermione time travel using the Time-Turner.
4. The Lightning Bolt Scar in "The Goblet of Fire"
When Harry's shirt is ripped during the Triwizard Tournament, you can briefly see his lightning bolt scar on his chest. This is a subtle reminder of Harry's connection to Voldemort and his journey throughout the series.
5. Number 12 Grimmauld Place's Hidden Design
The exterior of Number 12 Grimmauld Place is hidden to Muggles by a Fidelius Charm. However, if you look closely, the architectural design on the building actually forms the number 12, subtly hinting at its true identity.
6. Sirius Black's Motorbike in "The Order of the Phoenix"
When Harry is being chased by Dementors, Sirius Black arrives on a flying motorbike to rescue him. This motorbike is the same one Hagrid borrowed from Sirius to deliver Harry to the Dursleys in "The Sorcerer's Stone".
7. The Vanishing Cabinet in "The Half-Blood Prince"
Draco Malfoy repairs the Vanishing Cabinet in the Room of Requirement. This cabinet plays a significant role in "The Chamber of Secrets" when Nearly Headless Nick is petrified, foreshadowing its importance in later events.
8. The Sword of Gryffindor in "The Deathly Hallows"
When Harry, Ron, and Hermione are in the Ministry of Magic, the Sword of Gryffindor can briefly be seen in a display case. This foreshadows its later retrieval by Harry in the same movie.
9. The Mirror of Erised in "The Deathly Hallows – Part 2"
During the flashback scene in Snape's memories, you can see the Mirror of Erised hidden in the Room of Requirement. This is a subtle callback to the first movie and adds depth to Snape's character.
These Easter eggs add layers of detail and continuity to the Harry Potter movies, delighting us potter-heads with hidden references and connections throughout the series. They not only reward attentive viewers but also enhance the overall experience of re-watching the Harry Potter series, making each viewing a new adventure. As we revisit these films, let's continue to appreciate the creativity of the silver screen adaptations and the person who presented us with this wonderful wizarding world, J.K. Rowling.
